what measures perfection? what makes humans so necessarily flawed?
all men are flawed--there is no such thing as a perfect man
but are flaws so necessarily bad?
socratic, platonic, and even hegelistic ideals reckon
that there is such a thing as objective truth
that absolute truth resides in the hearts and being of man
that morality is absolute, and man is necessarily incomplete. flawed.
shadows of an ideal and perfect mould
beauty resides in the crevasses of flaws
pain, angst, anger, frustration
passion, lust, fury, rage, jealousy, envy
man begs for the poet to reside in agony
because his screams are lyrical songs of melancholy and hurt
faint requiems of sorrowful tragedy
so tragic that it is incomprehensibly ethereal and elysian.
