what's essential is not whether the opinion we hold is right, or wrong, but that we can defend what we believe in with passion and pride
the difference between a great man, and an ordinary one,
is in the degree of passion the person has in what he believes.
those who flitter past the field of salient ideas
picking up the pieces but never being convicted by anything in particular
believing at any point merely in the one thing they last heard
those are the people who never rise up above mediocrity.
those are the people who won't be willing to stake their life in what they believe
or hold so little worth in their very lives that they are willing to die without a cause
the devil fights his battles with determination
and lulls mankind deep with his pied piper flute
like songs of the siren
wrong can seem so right
evil takes dominance
when good men choose do nothing about it
to be good is not about being soft
it's about graceful strength instead of brute force
the world needs great people.
people with passion.
for these are the movers of the world.
the atlases and sisyphuses
the world also needs the great people to be good
to move the world is one thing
in which direction is the world being moved is yet another.
when good people choose to not stand up for what's right,
people lose sight of what's eternal
we need to live, and live to the full
we also need to make a stand.
we need to believe because faith is the essense of our existence
without which life is purposeless and undriven.
it's better to make a wrong decision
than not to make one at all
for at least through our mistakes
we can learn not to commit them again
