why some people fight to become presidents and some others prostitutes
the whole electoral debacle of mexico made me wonder yet again
why do people clamour to become president of a country
that is in swamped by a multitude of economic and social problems
for which the confrontation of is obviously bound to be an uphill battle.
is it for the fame? the glory? the power? the prestige?
but if there are no capable people left, driven, passionate, or insane enough
to take a country by the reins--to ride a bucking horse
what would there be left but the last vestiges of a once united people
that has since fallen to pieces?
the individual cannot stand alone in the world today
without the level playing field provided by a palpable governing body
then the question veers to another group of people
there are those who lay the scaffolds for order
and there are those that spawn anarchy and nihilism
there are those who sell a facade of pointed calmness as the fountainhead
and there are those who carry out a different kind of transaction
supply is created by demand
demand is created by supply
the question of the chicken and the egg and which came first
yet it doesn't really matter
a need for sexual release and intimacy
there are these people
who believe themselves to be women trapped in a man's body
and these people go under the knife
in order to degrade themselves by parading on the streets
waiting for people to pick them up
calling for people to pick them up
there are people who throw away everything
to sink to extreme pits of wanton-ness
and you can't help but wonder why
and what would drive a person to commit such at act
of what seems to be peverse desperation
but at the root of it all, people are all essentially desperate
desperate for release, desperate for salvation,
desperate to be seen and heard.
