many disciplinaries are subjective but they cannot deny the need for an objective interface so that everyone may operate on a somewhat level ground

the apparent paradox of maths and linguistics and how they serve
as the language for the disciplines of science and math respectively
and how math is most beautiful when it is expressed in its most basic form
but linguists scorn the stripping of language of its colour
for with no colour language loses its aesthetic appeal
and beauty in its chameleon variance

yet it does not seem surprising
even as both converge in terms of the goal
to explain what is in the universe and how does it work
a theory of everything as surmised by idealistic scientists
which by definition encompasses too the meaning of life
yet chooses to strip life out of the whole equation
no, it is hardly surprising then
that the language of science is seemingly barren
while teeming with potential because of its objectivity and absolutes
that allow it to exist in a fashion that is corporeal
and grounded in reality
and art in its purpose of marrying aesthetics and logic and reason
driven by life with life and for life
is expressed in a language so filled with life
yet achieves nothing apparently concrete
in the eyes of the scientist
perhaps in the course of history
art and science have diverged, and have emerged as two different fountainheads
that stack up towards the heavens
and it becomes a competition
to see which will eventually reach its end first
perhaps then in the course of the future
the two towers will serve as two pillars in the foundation of the one great tower
that will finally reach the skies
and the one great tower will only stand
if each pillar has been constructed in a way that it can stand the test of time
and if each pillar can somehow support equally the weight of ideas
stacked onto both of them

on the modules i'm taking this semester
now that i've at least gone through one (introductory) lesson for each class
that i have ended up with for the 13 weeks to come
though i am not yet in the position to tell how much i do and will like each class,
i can at least somewhat come to terms with
my impressions and expectations of each discipline
i now use discipline instead of class
for each module is in its own unique field of specialisation
economics, physics, psychology, japanese studies and philosophy
(both in the order of which i have been acquainted with them,
and their respective levels as catalogued by the school system)
