our strengths and weaknesses are a mere matter of perspective. so fine is the line between redemption and condemnation...
regarding perfect crime
perfect crime [noun]
a crime so ingeniously contrived and carefully executed that it cannot be detected or solved
perfect crime in terms not of technical execution, but of intent…
what is it in our culture and mentality that makes perfect crime inherently impossible. but also what sort of person with what values will be able to commit perfect crime and yet how if it has been committed there is no way of knowing that it has been done so the second group of people are merely hypothetical in that they are impossible to identify for study
that there is a social and moral aspect that consciously or subconsciously causes people to be unable to commit perfect crime
social being that we have a desire to be recognised for our genius because it makes us feel justified
and moral that we inherently know that what we are doing is wrong and it causes a sense of guilt that affects us either during the commiting of the crime or subsequently
in that action often precedes reason
this is meant to include the interaction of the psyche/morality/social interaction and effect on behaviour by the way
justified is that we are being recognised by what we want ourselves to be seen as
in the case of the criminal
you probably don't want to be faulted for a crime
but you subconsciously want to be recognised for your ingenuity for being able to come up with a perfect crime
the paradox being that once you are recognised for the latter it invariably incriminates you
but the argument is that the our social tendencies as humans is such that it makes the latter
what about organised crime (on a social level)?
and what objective standard can we use for "crime"
