help me pray when i'm tired, steer me back to you when i need rest

like a child
who when he loses sight of sometimes forgets that it is still there
sometimes i lose sight of God as well
i forget about his realness in my life
i walk without thought of the consequence

these are times that i am tired
times that i am spiritually dry
when i'm caught up with my own afflictions

i forget that sometimes the righteous suffer sometimes
so how much more the unjust

but in suffering
it is not for man to condemn the sins of another
a man who suffers is not in need of admonishments and rebuke
but of strength and support
to return to God's presence

so Lord i pray that when i am far away from you
you will steer me back into your presence.
