faith- maybe i can walk on water
[Matthew 8:23-36] Wind and wave obey Jesus
[Matthew 14: 29-32] Walking on the sea
Sometimes we get dissatisfied.
we do things without a sense of purpose or direction,
and end up asking ourselves 'what am i doing?'
'why aren't i doing something else more excting; more fun?'
God says, that there are no struggles in our lives, in him and for him, that are meaningless.
if we are tired of running, of fighting, as we do His command and seek His kingdom,
there is only victory that awaits us.
we will be His children, in whom He is well pleased.
There can be no dissatisfaction with our circumstances when we place Him first,
and have our faith in Him, that He will make our paths straight,
and that He will not lead us down blind alleys.
There will only be a desire to fulfill a greater sense of purpose for His sake
to become more Christ-like under His hand.
God longs to bless us.
A person who is perpetually dissatisfied with life cannot be blessed abundantly by God.
He knows not what He wants, and nothing can be given to Him, which he desires, and that will please him.
for he is skeptical, and insatiable.
but God is faithful.
He can give us everything we need, everything there is to give.
And He does.
He lays out plans for each and every one of us.
He moulds us in our mother's womb.
He has great and mighty plans for us, to mould and to prosper us.
But to walk on water is impossible unless we believe in the power of God.
the power of the Holy Spirit.
We can do great things through God who strengthens us.
but God cannot strengthen a man who refuses to eat the spiritual food he has been given
or drink from His living water.
And how can a man see this food and drink that is unseen
unless he first has faith in its giver?
for faith is the substance of the things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen.
