rainbows are a sign of God's covenant to man. through His light, we bear witness and give testament to His glory
On New Year's day, there were two rainbows
spanning my view of the sky.
"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be
for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth."
[Genesis 9:13]
and this was the promise God set in my heart.
"I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them;
and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed,
nor shall they be lacking." says the Lord.
[Jeremiah 23:4]
the Lord is my shepherd.
His word is a light to my path and a lamp at my feet.
And the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness did not comprehend it.
[John 1:5]
but the darkness cannot know the light which is unseen.
i'm not the Light,
but i am a child of the Light.
and to it i bear witness.
John's Witness: The True LightThere was a man sent from God,
whose name was John.
This man came for a witness,
to bear witness of the Light,
that all through him might believe.
He was not the Light, but was sent
to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light
which gives light to every man
who comes into the world.
